The National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE) – in partnership with IPPOSI – has designed a six week module on the health technology assessment process to provide patients participating in the IPPOSI Patient Education Programme with an in-depth understanding of the process and of the opportunities for patient involvement within the process. The NCPE also works with patient representatives, identified and selected by IPPOSI, to support and mentor the patients across the six-week module. The NCPE runs the module every two years, which is attended by approximately 20 patients.
The patients participating in the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE) health technology assessment module are selected by IPPOSI based on expressions of interest received to a public application process. The patients each commit to complete three six-week modules, of which the NCPE module is one.
