The HSE National Patients’ Forum was established in 2015. The aim of the Forum is to provide a space for patients, their family members, their carers and their advocates to collaborate in policy development, implementation and evaluation and design and delivery of services. The Forum meets every two months, online. At each meeting, different departments and teams within the HSE present to the forum, which is followed by a question and answers session. The Forum is administered by the HSE Quality Improvement Division.
The membership of the National Patients’ Forum is open to a variety of groups and organisations representing including patients and family members themselves, carers, representatives of advocacy groups, disability organisations and members of Patients for Patient Safety Ireland.
